One

The new album from Michel Sassoon combines post rock textures, along with hints of progressive rock, wrapped in pop/rock sensitivities and melodies.

Songs such as "Flying Home" and "Cage" convey detailed cinematic images, where layers build up to present a story. Other songs, such as "September Wind" and "Doppelgänger", build on a more traditional pop/rock structure, while still keeping some post rock elements.

The 2 instrumental songs, "Gemini" and "Carl" (dedicated to the late Scientist, Carl Sagan), showcase a more minimalist compositional style (the former) and early syntheziser cinematic feel (the latter). A third instrumental piece, "Empty Slate" serves as a prologue to "September Wind".

It is an album composed and thought out as both a single / continuous piece of work, but which can also be enjoyed on a song by song basis.

"One" will see its worldwide official release on March 15th, 2016.
